HK Trip Oct 14

Today, I visit Yan Fook Church again. This time is for service.
It is a total different feeling compare to my visit to the building on thursday, Oct 12.

Last time when Pastor Vincent and Judy took me to walk around, the church was so quiet...

and today, the line up was huge, not only to get in, but to get out...

The sermon was not only great, but super...!

And... after Sunday service, I am glad to have dinner with some old friends from Ottawa. Really miss them... haven't seeing them for years...

In the afternoon, I have a drink with a mentor-type friend. He reminds me a lot... Yes... should I really think about leaving? Why think yourself to be the savior when people already think that you are satan? He reminds me about this:究竟是『眾人皆醉我獨醒』,還是『眾人皆醒我獨醉』? Talking about experience, they have more than you do. Spirtuality, they should be much better than you do. Maturity, forget it, how can I be more mature than they do? So, yeah, stop complaining. Stop bitter. Just shut up and work...!!!

At night, have dinner with Shirley. I enjoy everytime we chat, as it will always be encouraging... God, thank you for giving me this friend...

HK Trip Oct 11-13

Window shopping and shopping...

HK things are cheap, but the only problem for me to travel in HK is also that reason. The things are cheap, but should I buy it or not? Why buying them? That is one of the struggle for me during these three days. I have no money to spend, so I have to control myself in using money. But when you saw the price, its so tempting...

Seeing Terry, Stanley, Alice and... Raymond thursday nite, so happy to see them. Most of them are back to church life, thanks God.

Friday afternoon, visit my home school at the interschool swimming competition. Wow... 24sec for C-grad 50 Freestyle, what a time...! I am old, really old. Especially when I leaving Kowloon Park with MTR and saw two of my little F1 schoolmates, they left with their parents carrying their swimming bags for them, really jealous...!

Thank you Michael for bringing me to have 大排擋食雞燉翅... yummy...!

Saturday daytime, running thru HK cemeteries to visit grandpa(s) and grandma... Bye, see you some years after, hopefully I will come back soon to visit you people again...

In the evening, my uncle brings me to 中環鏞記食燒鵝... make my HK trip so fulfilling...!

At night, thanks God for bringing me a friend to walk 廟街 with me, so that I don't need to go thru this historic part of Hong Kong alone.

Tomorrow will go 恩福 worship and seeing friends from my university years in Ottawa. Guys, I really miss you... see you tomorrow...!

HK Trip Oct 7

It was a wonderful Sunday for me.

In the morning
I was wondering if I were back to my homeland, as I knew less then ten sentences on the bus and walking to Sogo in CausewayBay... the whole area was full of Philippines. Mission is the only word occupying my mind... "oh NO! Please, just give me a break... Ha Ha" I told God.

The worship at Tung Fook Church was wonderful. It was energetic and touching. But the message was a bit short, as it was so good and I want to listen more...

In the afternoon
Elita and I walk thru the whole CausewayBay and WanChai (poor Elita... she was walking on heels...!) and we visit the famous (and old) Boston Restaurant. Its still that good...! We have FlameBeef, and taste very good.

If you have facebook, you can view the video here.
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=18954691224

I also visit my place of early childhood: St. Joseph's College Primary School. So many memories... Wanna see my school? Click here...

In the evening
We met Adeline and we have the chance to watch the show "A Symphony of Lights" 「幻彩詠香江」. This nightly spectacle combines interactive lights of 44 key buildings on both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon with musical effects to showcase the vibrancy and glamorous night vista of Victoria Harbour. It is amazing...!

I put a bit into my facebook video:
Symphony of Lights 1 and Symphony of Lights 2

In the night
The Symphony of Lights inspired us to visit a place I haven't been there for around 20 years... THE PEAK...!!! Everything there were changed. New buildings, new bus terminal, higher bus fare, except one thing: the nightview is still the best...! Dear Lord, THANK YOU...!

Hong Kong Trip Oct 4-6

Wow, after 16 years, i finally got the chance to really feel the home where I grow up... HONG KONG.

Oct 4

Oct 5/6
Grandma is leaving us la... Bye...! When she is leaving, the picture of grandma's come up to my mind scene after scene... really

Oct 6

Evan almighty

Today on the plane, God speaks to me through a movie: Evan Almighty...
It seems like God is telling me, God is teaching us through some unexpected circumstances. These teaching includes patience and love.

I always ask God why things gone so wrong, people around you are wondering if you are doing the right thing. Every things I do seems silly and no logical. With this movie, God is telling me: "Yes, there are things that seems like not ordinary, but its all under the hands of ME...!"

In the film, the main character was told by God to do something extraordinary, out of his regular routine and expected job description. No one support him, even his own wife. Risking of losing his job... Everyone thinks that he is crazy.

But he proved these people are wrong by his faith in God. His family returns and God save many people through him too... As long as we can keep our faith to God, there is nothing call impossible.

This matches what Rev. Peter Ho said last week. "What do we have to lose? Our face? come on..."

God, thank you...!

Quoting from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evan_Almighty

Newly elected to Congress, former local TV newsman Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) leaves Buffalo behind and shepherds his family to suburban northern Virginia. His congressional campaign declared that he would change the world, but he never stated how. Once he reaches his new home and job, strange things start to happen. Animals (all different kinds of animals) start following Evan around. He grows a beard that won't go away no matter how many times he shaves. Eight vacant lots in Evan's neighborhood are purchased in Evan's name. Stone age tools and wood planks are sent to his house. And the number 614 appears everywhere he goes. Evan soon learns that the number is a verse in the Bible. In the book of Genesis, 6:14 is the verse in which God instructs Noah to build the ark. Soon after, God (Morgan Freeman) appears and mysteriously commands him to build an ark because a flood is coming. His family comes to believe he is having an extraordinary mid-life crisis, but soon thinks he is truly onto something of Biblical proportions. God tells Evan the flood will come September 22 mid-day.

Evan and God sitting in the half-built Ark. Evan's costume was created based on research of the clothing at the time of Noah.[1] Some of the controversy over the film in foreign markets focused on God being portrayed in human form, as seen here.[2]Animals start following Evan to Congress causing him to eventually be suspended by Congressman Long (John Goodman) from work after he tells everyone that God told him to build an ark. His wife Joan and his three sons leave for her mother's house after seeing it on a news report, leaving him to build the ark himself, which gains international notice. Weeks after Joan leaves Evan, God appears to her as a waiter at a diner. He tells her that God doesn't give things, he gives the opportunity to get things. For example, God doesn't give a family togetherness, he gives the opportunity for families to be together. Seeing his meaning, Joan returns to Evan to finish the ark together. Evan's old colleagues tell him that Congressman Long built a dam over a nearby lake and cut corners to save businesses money.

September 22 comes with clear skies, and Evan loads the hundreds of animals onto the newly finished ark in front of live news crews and nearby citizens. Minutes pass with clear skies, so spectators start jeering at him. Dark clouds appear and rain starts pouring down. Evan tells everyone to board the ark but no one listens. The rain suddenly stops and everyone starts laughing at Evan. Evan thinks it's over until the poorly built dam bursts. Panic overtakes everyone and they board the ark. The ark sails down the streets of Washington D.C. from the flooded water of the burst lake until it eventually lands several feet from the Capitol. Evan tells Long that the flood was caused by his poorly made dam, which incites the other congressmen present to turn on him. Evan and his family go on a hiking trip over the weekend and God reappears to Evan, telling him that the way to change the world is by doing Acts of Random Kindness ("ARK") one at a time.

ups and downs... but God... thank you...!

Cloudy then sunny for today’s weather, as it’s the same with my mood.

Since yesterday... I was not having a good mood because of some incident...

For almost the whole day, we are all busy with the AFC thanksgiving dinner. With all the unexpected stuffs coming... so nervous...!

But as time approaching the banquet, the more nervous I am, and the closer I am getting to God. With the good partnership with Paula, we have a wonderful MC experience tonight. And the most thankful of all, God had given us every grace to cover up all the minor errors and glitches that we have during the whole night. God, thank you.

Nothing to lose

"Nothing to lose" is the phrase that I learn from Rev. Peter Ho's sharing during Tuesday staff meeting.

Vision is a great word, however, if God is really there, what can we lose to take risk and carry out our vision...!?!?!

God, guide us to see the vision you lay upon us and help us to move forward... >>>>>

The "Waiting" Game

Today, when I am rewriting my sermon notes from August Ann Arbor CCFC, something going through my mind again. The word "Wait".

From Psalm 29, we learn that if we wanna to have peace, we have to:
1. Understand God’s power
2. Know that the voice of God does not come only in silence but storm
3. Willing to submit to God for his timing

When I am preparing tomorrow sermon, I am sure I have to be same inside out. If I speak we have to wait for HIM, then inside me, that's what I have to do... WAIT FOR HIS TIMING.

God, please teach me how to wait for YOUR timing.

But beyond everything... only one thing in my mind...
and YOU know it...

MAM Sudbury Update #1

Dear all, sorry for not updating for a while. As we do not have internet access at where we are staying.

But thanks the Lord, for the cottage we are staying is having a very very good environment. It was quiet, and cool. The only drawback is that we have an outhouse for our "business". However, we are now get used to it and we are very happy about what God had provided...!!!

Tuesday, I met MCBC mission team and we have combined some of our programs to provide the best interest for students. PTL, the first time I have a mission team working with another mission team. WOW... what an experience...!

Starting Wednesday, we will have meeting every night until Saturday. Please pray for us. What we mainly do are talking and cooking. So, please also pray for those who come, pray so that they can open up their heart and... their mouth and stomach...!!!

MAM Ann Arbor Update #3

Dear all, really thank you for your prayer support. For the past two days, we experienced a lot about the grace of God.

On Thursday, we had five visitations, all went through quite well. Not only that we had the chances to talk about the gospel to the families, but also, all of us learnt a lot from the visitations.

On Friday, thanks the Lord, that some students call in for ride to the EM. This is somewhat a surprise :P Close to evening time, suddenly the sky opened up and the rain just pouring down. We were worrying.

However, from the pick-ups till the end, its all the grace of God. Finally we have 40 people, (number is a bit down from last year), and close to ten new students came. After the meeting, most of them had discussions with our team members regarding the gospel... the SEED IS SOWN... PTL...!!!

Please pray for one man, whose family is being trouble but some sort of cult in China. Especially his sister.

Saturday night, we will have an EM in the elders apartment, please continue your support through prayers.

Thank you...!

Two arranged visitation: one said he believes there is a God, and the other one CONVERT...!

At night, we ran into a woman with a baby who is ready to move back to Toronto. She has been going to church, and please pray that she will be able to go to church when she is back to Toronto.

After that, we have a chance to knock on the door of a family which has two kids. thanks the Lord that I am teaming up with a sister who is able to take care of the two girls, otherwise, I will be in "great" trouble. Although we did not have the chance to talk much about the gosepl, she did show some interest in coming to the EM on Sunday. Please pray.

Tomorrow we have at least one scheduled visitation and the other one is pending. Please pray for the team.

Thank you!!!

Wednesday, August 15, 2007

A little reminder??

I attended a funeral today.

The son of the old lady is a pastor and he used the story of his own mother to make an encourage message for the funeral attendee.

I am just thinking, how should I describe my parents when they leave the world? Do I really know much about them? Do I really care them enough to understand them...?

Rev. Ching, thank you for your reminder.

Niagara Falls MAM Update #3

Thanks the Lord that a man who is a Chinese teacher here in Niagara Falls turn himself to Christ today. The downside is that his wife still not willing to accept yet. Please pray for the family.

There is also a man who rent a room in his house, and his is mixing all the religions up and create some sort of philosophy for himself. Please also pray for him.

During the door-knocking, we met a high-school girl who came only for the second month. Her mother had been going to church but not stable. Hopefully they can come for the EM this Sunday night.

Please keep praying for us.

Panama Update #6

Dear all, thank you for your prayer support.

Finally, we have come to the last three days of the trip. The training over the weekend ran well and hopefully we are sharing our best to them.

On Tuesday, we have a "day-off" and we paid a visit to the bookstore. God led us to a lady who was a Christian while ago but not attending church for a while. And fortunately, that is the only night the team without any training session, so we invite her for a dinner. The dinner comes out well and we have a wonderful chat. However, please pray for her, as she is being approached by people from Jehovah Witnesses.

Thursday and Friday will be the final two session before a visitation-packed Saturday. Please pray for the team.

Panama Update #5

Thank you for your prayer and the Sunday EM runs very well. It drew almost 50 non-regulars and new-comers to the fellowship, with an extra 20 from the city of Colon. 10 of them raised up their hands to indicate their willingness to know more about God, 2 of them are re-dedication and 2 are Catholics. Praise the Lord, and please keep praying for them.

For myself, thanks the Lord that I still have my voice to handle the singspiration and message time. I lost my voice only after the very last song, its such a grace from God.

We will have our first training over the Alliance church on Wednesday, where the first training session of Christian church will be on Friday, please pray for us, the youth and the fellowships.

Panama Update #3 - Task change

Thank you all for your prayer and support. Our team is having a good trip so far and most ministry work as planned.

But there is some change to our task for the set up of new fellowship. After couple days of discussion, thanks the Lord that giving us a much clear idea of what the new fellowship for university students should be. However, due to the latest development, we think that the church need more preparation time for this new fellowship. Therefore, it is not wise for us to rush this university-students fellowship. However, we willstill provide sessions for students and youth so that they can be motivated and equipped for this new movement. Please pray for all the training sessions and the future development of this new fellowship.

Yesterday we have a fruitful but busy day. We visited some families in Arraiján and La Chorrera during the day and have the opportunities to chat with different youth at night. Thanks the Lord. Please also pray for us for the visitations coming up.

Please also pray for the upcoming EM this coming Sunday. STM will help out with singspiration, games and message, pls pray for us. Please also pray for all new-comers and brothers/sisters who are coming and not. Some of them cannot come because they are working or due to family issue.

Please keep praying for us...

Panama Mission update #2

21 days left in our trip.

For the past few days, relationships were built between the students and the mission team members. Thanks the Lord the communications went well.

To continue our task of starting a new fellowship in the church, from Monday on, we will chat with different groups to understand their felt needs for the new fellowship.

After knowing the needs, we will help them to build up the fellowship by providing experience and necessary training to the students/leaders in the next two weeks.

So, please pray for us for the following...

1. 7/29 EM, all prep work re: drama, songs, promotion, message, and the most important, the heart of the new comers.
2. The guidance from God regarding this new fellowship: direction and vision, preparation, unity of brothers and sisters...
3. Health. Some local b/s is sick lately, please pray for their health.
4. Rest. Please pray for the mission team, so that they can manage to have an efficient time table to keep up their energy level.
5. Pray for the local leadership in setting up this new fellowship.

Thank you all for your support.

Ups and Downs

Today, I am having a day of ups and downs.

Wonderful start as we connect many people to camp on Canada Day.

But as I am driving down to Toronto, my mood and emotion is just like my driving direction: down south.

Dinner time, a much emotional picture.

Sigh... but... God is really there...

As I get home, I got a message from my friend when she "saw" my frustration online.

"I know it is hard to fully commit in christ work.. and I'm proud of you!
God will appreciate that too!"

God, thank you for sending such an angel besides me and reminding me that you are there for me...!!! THANK YOU...!!!

Blank

I want to write something tonight, but... my brain is blank. I don't know what I am thinking, I don't know what I want.

It seems to me that some people out there think that I am thinking too much. Am I? I don't know. I really don't.

God, guide my thoughts, please.

The Longest Date...? The Longest Date...!

The longest date?! 真係 the longest date...!

"Heart... miles and miles of heart."

Today, when I chat with some friends, remind me of this film: "The Replacements".

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, The Replacements is a 2000 comedy film directed by Howard Deutch. It stars Keanu Reeves, Gene Hackman, Brooke Langton and Orlando Jones, and very loosely based on the 1987 NFL players' strike.

The film opens with a professional football game being played in Washington, D.C. During the final minutes of the game, commentators John Madden and Pat Summerall (playing themselves) discuss the fact that at midnight, all of the players in the League will go on strike since contract negotiations with the owners have failed, perilously close to the end of the regular playing season. Due to League regulations, the strike cannot extend into the post-season. The Sentinels are poised to continue into the post-season play-offs if they win three of the last four regular season games. Edward O'Neil, owner of the Washington Sentinels, contacts former head coach Jimmy McGinty, recruiting him to put together a team of replacement players during the strike. McGinty agrees on two conditions: that he have no interference in his coaching from O'Neil and that his choices for the replacements are unquestioned. While other teams recruit semi-pro or former pro players, McGinty assembles an eclectic group of players that confuse the other coaching staff.

The team cheerleaders also join the strike, leaving Annabelle Farrell, the head cheerleader, to find a new cheering squad during the remaining four games. The first group of prospective cheerleaders are so untalented that Annabelle eagerly accepts Dawn and Heather, the only two so far to have dance experience or acceptable looks. When they inform her that they dance at a strip club, Annabelle hesitates, then agrees to recruit them. She invites them to send their stripper friends to tryout as well. The resulting cheerleading squad, composed of strippers, is uproarious, and their extremely sexual antics prove most helpful to the replacement Sentinels during the San Diego game.

At first, the team suffers from communication problems and disagreements. They lose their first game. But McGinty's unique coaching style and an ensuing barfight with the striking Sentinels team helps the replacements cut through their mistrust and lack of cohesion. Even after winning the San Diego and Phoenix games, the replacement quarterback, Shane Falco, is still choking when the game is on the line. When Eddie Martel, the Sentinels' contracted quarterback, crosses the picket line, O'Neil breaks his promise of non-interference and manipulates McGinty into allowing Martel to play in Falco's place. O'Neil doesn't believe that Falco has the ability to lead the team to victory against the reconstituted Dallas team, whose team is once again composed of regularly contracted world champion players who have all crossed the picket line in order to ensure a play-off bid. Martel's prima donna behavior causes serious problems on the field during the Washington-Dallas game. When McGinty is questioned at half-time by a reporter about what the team would need to win, he replies: "Heart... miles and miles of heart." In addition to quoting "Heart" from Damn Yankees (which also takes place in Washington, D.C.), this is a veiled message to Falco, who is watching from home after being inexplicably cut from the team despite being the backup quarterback. McGinty had told Falco when he was informed about the switch to Martel that Falco had something Martel didn't have: heart. Falco makes it to the game before halftime ends, Martel is thrown out, and Falco leads the replacement team to victory. Though they are precluded from playing in the playoff spot they earned for the Sentinels, the replacement players are able to return to their lives with their heads held higher, knowing that they finally won their moment of glory.

There is a romantic subplot involving Shane Falco and Annabelle Farrell, the head cheerleader. Players and cheerleaders are not allowed to fraternize in professional football, but the temporary status of Shane's position on the team makes the point rather moot *As John Madden puts it, "Yeah, but what are they gonna do, fire him?"). Shane and Annabelle become friendly, then fall for one another. Shane has a date with Annabelle following the Phoenix game, but stands her up after being cut from the team in favor of Martel. When he returns to the team during the Dallas game, he apologizes to Annabelle and they rekindle their relationship at the end of the movie.

Repeat*

May 29, 2007, 10:15:04 AM

May 29, 2007, 11:51:06 PM

Scare to ask God question

Sometimes I really hate/scare to ask God questions. This morning I suppose to wake up early to do some final preparation of my Sunday school materials. But when I wake up I am so tired and I just wanna to ask God why do I have to wake up that early? As I am asking this question, a friend from HK calls. My friend did not say much but a short sentence, “Haha, I think its time for you to wake up.” My friend almost hangs up after this. This is something like an answer from God: "Hey, its your job to teach the Sunday school under a fully prepared manner, that's why its time for you to wake up...!" What can i say?

Come on…! Why God is answering me in such a fashion…? The most scary part is that God will always answer your question. Just how and what He will answer you.

God, yes, sometimes i really scare, but THANK YOU for answering my prayer.

Bearing the cross

Last night during our fellowship discipleship program, we came across the meaning of bearing the cross "背十字架的意義".

This morning I got an email from one of the sisters in our group quoting Baker Encyclopaedia of Bible-Chinese Version about the meaning.

Wow... I like this one “不是受死,而是受辱,門徒必須準備好被社會丟棄”…
Somehow, to me, 受辱 is much worser than 受死…
Hmm… “門徒必須準備好被社會丟棄”… good suggestion…

Relieved but Unhappy

Relieved but Unhappy... What an ironic feeling...!

Don't ask me details... please. However, what I can tell you is that... its just a day of emotions and frustrations. The feeling is like you have to give up something. This "something" is something you have dreamt of for so long and now you have the chance to own it. But for just a little while, now you have to give up.

If its should not belongs to me, why given to me at the first place...?

Sigh...

My First Spanish Class

Oh Boy... my first class of Spanish... its horrible.

The teacher is terrific... just only me is having a tough time.

As being a slow learner in language, I can feel that I am very behind in the class. Especially when 5 out of eight know French. I am still trying to find the way to pronounce the "RR" sound... Sigh...

But I am sure I can make it... Please pray for me...

Thanks God for giving me some snow on Friday so that I can enjoy my first ski trip in this winter season :-P, and probably the last of the season :(

Well, not having any exercises for the month in Panama, after two hours of skiing, I am sooooooooo tired... my legs almost aren't mine anymore...

Simon suspended indefinitely for slash

Chris Simon was suspended indefinitely Friday by the NHL, one day after his vicious two-handed stick swing to the face of New York Rangers forward Ryan Hollweg.

Thanks God that I am not living in the Hockey world, otherwise I think I will be like Chris or Sean Avery.

After Chris' incident, so many people are making so many comments blaming him for not respect other players or should have think twice before he acts.

Well, you guys who are slow-thinker and consider yourselves always think twice before your action, please, can you give us a break?

Yeah, I agree that it is not wise to lose our cool when we got angry, and its absolutely not right to use force like this. But come on, its not our fault for thinking fast and act fast. We just can't control it. Can you control yourself so that you can think faster when needed? Hey, yes, we need to improve ourselves... but why not I hear your appreciation when our fast-thinking help you out when you need it? But its always "comments" when we make our mistakes?

Does that mean you those "slow-thinker" or "think twice" type will not make mistakes or making wrong decisions? Or are those mistakes just doesn't look that bad enough to be overblown and draw all the attention to it? Why it always have to make us look that bad when things happen?

Thanks for the comment from Islanders defenceman Brendan Witt, Simon's roommate for six years when they played for the Washington Capitals. "Nobody is perfect in this world in any situation, and everyone has their moments."

Then why us? Please... before you criticize our think-fast/act-fast characteristics, "think-twice" about how our think-fast/act-fast have helped you out in the past. Thank you...!

Panama Update #6

Dear all,

I can’t imagine its already the last week of my mission trip.
Tonight (Monday night) I will have the last session with the youth group.
Tomorrow morning I will go Chinese Tea with an uncle (my friend’s father) and Rev. Ma.
At night, I will conclude my trip with the gathering join with the youth group and young career fellowship.
Wednesday, I will be taking the morning flight to LA to meet my high school friends before heading back to Canada on Sunday. (Please pray for me for a safe trip…!)

For the past weekend, I flied to a city named David for a weekend trip. I visited there last year.
I have many visits for Saturday and Sunday together with the Sunday School and Sunday worship. The brothers and sisters there are very good and supportive. But I am so careless that I forget to bring my camera, thus, not much photos. (Sigh…)
Please pray for them if you can, their desperate need right now: spiritual support.

I have to finish here. I will post some of my photos in my website (http://webhome.idirect.com/~xteam/) and/or visit my blog (http://stupidxteam.blogspot.com/) after I come back to Canada.

Again, thank you for all your prayers, encouragement and support throughout the past month.

See you all in Canada…
Take care,
Kelvin

Panama Update #5

Dear all,

It was a weekend with a lot of grace and thanksgiving for me.

On Friday, while attending a workshop by another short term mission team from Toronto, I have a chance to chat with a young lady who had marriage problem. She is willing to believe in Jesus, but the problem is she does not understand how Jesus can help her. She did not convert at the end, but she agrees to come to church more to learn more.

Saturday morning, we visit a family whose son turn to Christ half year ago. They did not agree their son to go to church, so we pay a visit to them and try to understand the reason. The scheduled 30-mins visit turned out to be a 3.5 hours tour about Christianity. From why going to church, to what is Christianity, to why not going to church. The chat is wonderful as the father agrees to let his son to go to Church (although he still not agrees with Christianity). May his son be the blessing of the family.

Second visit of the day came to a teen call Chiu. He was in the Chinese youth camp and turned to Christ two years ago. However, during this period, he had gone to church only occasionally. This time I try to connect him with one of the Alliance church close to his home. He did go to church with me on Sunday, but pray that he will connect with the church and start going there regularly.

In the evening, after sharing at the 6th anniversary of the youth fellowship, a medical student who came from HK a long while ago came to me and we have an hour of discussion about Christianity. Thanks God for opening his heart during the discussion. He almost made the decision, but he back off at the very last minute. I believe God has His own timing. Please pray for him and hope that he can convert in a short while.

Sunday night, I went out with the youth group to a place called Amador. A long walk with seashore on both side of the road and can clearly see the sunset. The night was wonderful as not only I have the chance to chat with them on the 2 hour walk, but I also experience the first ever dinner-karaoke in Panama…!

10 more days in Panama, please keep praying for me and the ministry here in Panama. Thanks.

In Christ,
Kelvin

PTL, on Chinese New Year Day, we have a wonderful program and the Alliance Church with more than 100 people come for the celebration. We have drama, games, songs and message sharing. Three people converted on the night. Halleluiah…!

What a good song...!

Repaet *#

Repaet (#)

I have no idea about the weather out there today, as I do not feel well and stay home getting some rest and sleep for the whole day. Well… its not that bad, as I have time (finally??) to watch some TV and go online to browse around. Hahaha..!!

Urbana

5 Days in St. Louis participating the first non-Urbana Urbana... (www.urbana.org)

It was wonderful.

Three words especially deep in my heart: Don't Get Settled...!

Throughout the whole conference, I keep on getting this message from God through sermons and seminars. We cannot satisfy ourselves by settled down in the comfort zone. One of the speakers, Brenda Salter McNeil, pointed out that every Biblical character settled, they will die in that place. Thus, we cannot settle ourselves, LET'S MOVE ON...!

Christmas Gift Day

I receive several Christmas gifts today.

Dear friends, thank you all for your wonderful gifts.

The biggest gift today is from God. Thank God today as Markham Honda change my radio/climate control today. They fix it for me under good will warranty. Its all God who save me from breaking my bank as it will cost almost $1000 if I have to fix it myself.

Repeat * #

REPEAT*

REPEAT*

(quote from 明報Blog 2006-12-10)

What To Do?

Today I see a MTV from my student's blog... a bit share my heart...

[S.H.E.] What To Do?

From Grace to Disgrace

Today receive the bi-monthly prayer letter of CCM of Canada and the article of Rev. Kong really making me rethink myself.

I am a Christian = I am a sinner => I should not be ashame of myself because of sin => I should focus of on relying on the power of God to overcome temptations...

God, I am sorry, please forgive me, forgive my lack of faith and all my sins.

This morning when i almost wake up, i have this song in my mind...

Not sure if I am those seven or I am the lonely three who are being criticised.
